Pomena was founded by fishermen from Govedjari who used to run a fishermen corporation. Their building was in Pomena where hotel «Odisej» stands now. It's from the 1978 and is the only hotel on the island so far. Can put up to 320 people. It has its own bar, tavern, souvenir shop, pizzeria and restaurant. However, it's also possible to find the accommodation in the private houses. In Pomena there are a few others restaurants, souvenir shops, rent-a-car, rent-a-scooter, bike, kayak, kanu. There is also a supermarket and the kiosk of the National Park. Pomena is situated near  the lakes, Small and Great Lake, 15 meters walk from hotel.
